Living Witness Trustees

Alison is a member of Cheltenham Meeting. She has been an activist for a long time, with a range of experience and a particular interest in energy efficiency, involving community projects, retrofitting her own home, and working as a Domestic Energy Assessor. She is a trustee with a local charity which is supporting women in Kenya to run climate-related projects. Now retired from paid work, she is enjoying exploring connections and relationships, and what she can offer and learn as a Quaker and a Living Witness Trustee.

Paul is a member of Bury St Edmunds meeting in Suffolk and has been a LW trustee since 2022. Since retiring as a GP he has spent most of his time reflecting on the Earth crises and how they change how we are called to live.

Mary, a member of Glasgow Quaker Meeting, is a musician and storyteller with extensive experience of organising performance projects on global development issues and climate stories with local communities. Mary is a Climate Reality Leader in the project founded by Al Gore and is a co-founder of Glasgow Quakers Climate Café and Climate Champion at Oakgrove Primary School.

Kathryn has been associated with the Living Witness community for many years, taking part in courses and residential weekends. She is a long-time campaigner for Climate Justice, taking part in Mass Lobby events at Parliament, and a campaigning member of Friends of the Earth. More recently Kath has put her energies into supporting the eco community groups in the Devon valley where she lives.
